User Support Analyst (Foreclosure Project) - Circuit Civil Division - State Funded OPS (Other Personal Services) through June 30, 2013

The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide support to the Mortgage Foreclosure Unit of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. The position is responsible for support of the eCourtesy/eSchedule Helpdesk, creating reports that will aid the Mortgage Foreclosure Unit staff to manage mortgage foreclosure cases.


• Resolves issues that attorneys or court staff may raise when scheduling Motion for Summary Judgment hearings and eCourtesy submissions.
• Meets with Mortgage Foreclosure Unit staff to discuss report requirements, assists in defining needs, proposes solutions that meet the users’ needs.
• Develops programs which extract data, manipulates data and outputs data to various mediums and creates reports using reporting tools.
• Assists Mortgage Foreclosure Unit staff with computer issues.
• Collaborates with IT staff to design solutions for Mortgage Foreclosure Unit.
• Performs testing and data verification to ensure accuracy of final product.
• Performs related work as required.


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Good working knowledge of desktop computers, running Windows OS on a network domain.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) specifically SQL Server and Oracle.
• Working knowledge of TSO, JCL and creation of mainframe programs that extract data for report creation. IDMS, COBOL and SAS experience a plus.
• Good working knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services/Report Builder.
• Effectively conveys ideas/information verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical employees.
• Ability to work on assigned projects independently with minimum supervision.
• Some knowledge of the principles and practices of system analysis and design.

Physical Demands

Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening and reaching with hands and arms. Must be able to transfer up to 50 pounds; some risk of electrical shock.
